The Pickleball World Rankings (PWR) and the National Pickleball League (NPL) from Australia have collaborated to create a pickleball partnership that’s going to increase the growth of pickleball in the region of Oceania. This is one of the most exciting team-ups, as it will designate the NPL as the official tournament and league title for this region in 2025.
By joining hands with the PWR family, NPL’s leagues and tournaments are now going into the global ranking system. This indicates that it’s an exciting new opportunity to earn valuable points for their PWR ranking, which will help them go into top and prestigious events like the PWR World Series.
PWR is known for their pickleball rankings and tournaments; it’s a platform that has a global record and advancement for players globally. The PWR World Tour will feature tournaments where players can collect rank points, while the PWR World Series will serve as the centre point event for athletes.
The exact detailed point structure for NPL Australia tournaments will be announced on a later date in 2024, but all the events will be organised under PWR’s categories. The partnership between The Times Group and Pickleball is the main reason behind the PWR World Series and PWR World Tour.
