At a time when the arrival of most new ships ends up being delayed, Oceania Cruises is bucking tradition and bringing out its next new ship – Allura – early. The ship’s inaugural sailing, which will go from Trieste to Athens, will now be July 18, 2025, one week earlier than scheduled.
Guests booked on the original inaugural voyage, departing July 24, 2025, were offered first access to the new maiden sailing before it went on public sale. (Bookings for the sailing are now open to all.)
“Thanks to the progress made by our valued partners at Fincantieri, we are thrilled to bring Allura into service a week earlier than planned,” said Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises.
The line also announced it will operate a special “taster” cruise sailing roundtrip from New York from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4, 2025.
Oceania is currently working on designing a new menu of crepes and waffles for the all-new Crêperie, which will debut on Allura.
Other highlights cruisers will find on Allura include: 300 new recipes for the Grand Dining Room, across all three meals; a comfy library with floor-to-ceiling windows and oversized chairs; five specialty dining venues, including the line’s newest signature restaurants – Ember and Aquamar Kitchen; a crew-to-guest ratio of two-to-three; and a variety of staterooms that start at 291 square feet.
