Australia extravaganza “Not””The ship lost 4 ports of call one prior to the cruise the rest whist we were onboard, we were like other cruise ships caught for bio foiling and even though our cruise was not going to New Zealand, we lost 2 port days whilst our hull was cleaned so that it would meet the New Zealand requirements on its next cruise. We woke up expecting to be anchored off Kangaroo Island and even picked up tender tickets before the Captain told us we were not at kangaroo island and instead we were having our hull cleaned, No apologies no explanation….”Read MoreFilters

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Regatta

Food did not meet our expectations on board the Regatta ship. Appetizers and desserts were good but the dinner entrees were not prepared to our liking. One night Chicken a la Keiv was offered which is our favorite dinner choice but it was so extremely dry! The steaks in the Pollo Grill were the same. Very dry and tasteless! Would have liked better quality nightly entertainment. There were …

Alaska June experience

10+ Cruises • Age 70s

Boarding and disembarking was the easiest I have ever had and I have been on over 30 cruises. The food was good, specialty steak restaurant was wonderful- specialty Italian restaurant was only ok. Ships endangerment team was wonderful. Great shows at night. Now for the negative, two of the stops were a complete waste of time, Prince Ruppert and Hains. Prince Ruppert is a dying city, many closed …

Not the best food at sea

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Regatta

Despite Oceania claiming to be the best food at sea, sadly it is not. Lukewarm food on cold plates spoils the finest of cuisines. Like all cruise lines, the ship is spotless, the service is good and almost all crew very pleasant. Officers are conspicuous by their absence and safety does not seem to be their primary concern. An issue with mobility scooters was most poorly handled when lack of …

Positives: Very small, but efficient cabin. Clean. Activities and entertainment was as expected. Staff were very nice. Announcements clear, prompt, and efficient for ongoing important information. Port logistics and routing excursions were efficient. Bridge instruction and availability for playing was an unexpected pleasure! Daily newsletter for news updates was excellent and informative. …

We are avid travellers and have been on numerous cruises including many with Oceania.

Here’s an overview of our most recent cruise with Oceania on the ship Regatta.

The food is very good when it comes to your table hot. There were a few times in the dining room when the food was luke warm and we were served food on plates and bowls that were chipped or damaged. The buffet food is hit or …

Overall: This was somewhat disappointing cruise that did not live up to the hype.

Embarkation: A breeze. Easiest boarding ever. No lines, knowledgeable people.

Cabin: We had a B-1 veranda stateroom. The room itself was fine. Flat screen TV, although not much to watch. (You could watch “Titanic” if ship disaster movies are your thing.) Adequate underbed storage for our soft-sided …

This was our first cruise with Oceania and a small ship. It was great we could stop at places that larger ships do not visit.

Staff and food were really excellent, but the entertainment was not as good or varied as a bigger ship can provide.

Our cabin was on Level 7 (A1Concierge Veranda) and it was disappointing to discover our hand basin was cracked, the soap dish was badly chipped and then …

My wife and I were on an Oceania Insignia Mediterranean cruise years ago. The food and overall experience was amazing!!! We have done Regent and RC cruises, but have been mainly using Holland America for cruises (love the Pinnacle class ships!)

We wanted to do another Oceania cruise… mainly for the food. We were on The Regatta for the September 27 through October 4 cruise “California …

We are repeat customers of Oceania (fifth time for my wife, third for me) but first time on Regatta and first cruise post-pandemic. Compared to previous Oceania cruises, we found the food and service generally mediocre. Terrace Cafe items mostly bland (including two days of the most flavorless Mexican we’ve ever eaten) and at least once, the Grand Dining Room menu included many of the same items …

Not the High Quality Oceania of the Past

Review for a Alaska Cruise on Regatta

I chose the cruise because my previous Oceania experiences on Marina and Riviera were outstanding. Although I knew Regatta was smaller, the room and veranda were fine and the cabin team was top notch. Storage and decor were great – others have noted the small bath so that was expected. Note upgrades do not mean larger rooms. It’s true that the beds which are insanely comfortable are about 2 …
