Oceania Cruises’ New Ship, Allura, Floated Out in Genoa, Italy

Oceania
Cruises, renowned for its focus on culinary excellence and destination-rich
itineraries, has celebrated a significant milestone in the creation of its
newest vessel, Allura.
This 1,200-guest ship has been floated out from the dry dock at the Fincantieri
shipyard in Sestri Ponente, Italy—a crucial step as the vessel inches closer to
completion. The Allura has now been relocated to the fitting-out berth, where its
luxurious, designer-inspired interiors will be meticulously installed.

In a ceremony that
remained understated due to the recent passing of Fincantieri’s Chairman, General
Claudio Graziano, the ship was blessed by Father Stefano, the shipyard’s
chaplain. The shipyard Madrina, Caterina Romeo, a designer in Fincantieri’s
technical department, performed the christening, bestowing traditional
blessings upon the Allura and all who will sail aboard her.

“Our hearts
and minds are with the entire team at Fincantieri as they mourn the passing of
General Graziano,” expressed Frank A. Del Rio, President of Oceania
Cruises. “The float out is an important moment for all at Oceania Cruises
and Fincantieri, as we progress closer to Allura joining our family.
Now that we have completed her shell, we are excited to get started on her
interior. We have lots of exciting enhancements on Allura, our eighth
vessel, further elevating our offerings and firmly cementing Oceania Cruises as
the only ultra-premium cruise brand.”

As Allura advances
toward her debut, the company’s focus amid her final stages of construction now
shifts to her interior features, which will include opulent suites, stylish
lounges and exceptional dining venues. These elements reflect Oceania Cruises’
dedication to providing unparalleled culinary experiences and immersive
destination itineraries. Allura is set to be a pinnacle of sophisticated conception
and innovative offerings, raising the bar in the cruise industry.

Scheduled to enter
service on July 18, 2025, Allura will set sail from Trieste, Italy, on a
six-day voyage to Athens, Greece,
making stops at Eastern Mediterranean gems such as Ravenna, Italy;
Rijeka and Dubrovnik, Croatia;
and Kotor, Montenegro.

Following her
Mediterranean summer season, Allura will venture to Canada and New England for
a series of immersive North American voyages before spending her inaugural
winter season in the Caribbean, homeporting in Miami. Additionally, Allura will
offer a unique four-day roundtrip voyage from New York City in September 2025.

Allura is the eighth
ship in Oceania Cruises; fleet and the second in its Allura Class, trailing behind
her sister ship, Vista, which launched to widespread acclaim in May 2023. The
