Oceania Cruises has brought its 1,250-guest ship Marina back into service, after the vessel underwent an extensive refurbishment.

Marina now features three new dining venues, including Aquamar Kitchen, the new signature restaurant for Oceania Cruises which first debuted onboard Vista. At breakfast, guests can order smoothies, cold-pressed juices and energy bowls, while at lunch avocado toast selections and globally inspired salads and wraps will be available. Beverages include a selection of non-alcoholic wines and mocktails created with Lyre’s non-alcoholic spirits.

Waves Grill will now transform into a Pizzeria in the evenings

Another of the new venues is an all-day ice cream parlour, which has been added to the pool deck and offers flavours from ice cream company Humphry Slocombe alongside milkshakes and smoothies. Waves Grill, meanwhile, will now transform into an al fresco Pizzeria in the evening, offering freshly made pizza, salads, rosemary focaccia and desserts.

The 124 Penthouse Suites have also been completely redesigned, now featuring custom-crafted furniture and new closets and cabinetry, carpets, upholstery and lighting in the suites has also been updated, along with the addition of more outlets and USB ports. Each Penthouse Suite now offers a restyled bathroom, with Italian marble throughout, additional drawer space and oversized showers.

Public spaces including Martinis, Horizons, The Grand Dining Room and Library have been updated with new carpets and refreshed upholstery, while Polo Grill has been refreshed with new carpeting, window treatments and pillowed-leather dining chairs.

“The addition of these three relaxed, yet refined, eateries to Marina is the perfect way to spotlight that The Finest Cuisine at Sea does not always mean a white linen tablecloth and starched napkins at one of our award-winning specialty restaurants,” said Frank A. Del Rio, president of Oceania Cruises. “It’s also a perfectly prepared pizza, accompanied by a chilled glass of white wine enjoyed on deck, as you set sail with a warm breeze around your shoulders; or a decadent poolside ice cream or flavourful smoothie as you relax on your sun lounger.”

Oceania Cruises has also revealed that its newly appointed executive culinary directors, Chefs Alexis Quaretti and Eric Barale, and their team are reviewing menus across all venues on all ships.

“The introduction of these three wonderful culinary venues on board Marina is just the start of an exciting new taste journey for Oceania Cruises,” said Quaretti. “Of course, there is an incredible amount of work going on to prepare for the arrival of Allura next summer, but we have so much going on aboard all our beautiful ships. Eric and I are looking at every menu and every dish we serve, as you’ll see with the return of Marina. We have so much to talk about, I cannot wait to share more in the coming weeks and months.”
