New Caledonia and Vanuatu biggest movers for Oceania in latest FIFA rankings

Having opened their FIFA World Cup 26™ Oceania Qualifiers with victories, New Caledonia and Vanuatu have seen their FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking receive a boost in the latest update.

Vanuatu are up five places to 157 following their 4-1 win against Samoa in Port Vila, whilst New Caledonia also climb five places, now to 155, as Johann Sidaner’s team registered a 3-1 win against Papua New Guinea in Suva.

New Zealand remain the highest ranked side in Oceania (91), with Fiji their closest challenger (146), who have leapfrogged Solomon Islands. Both nations rose four places after their respective World Cup qualifier wins earlier this month.

The four sides dropping in ranking place are Solomon Islands, down three to 147, Tahiti, down one to 159, Papua New Guinea, down three to 171 and Samoa, down 1 to 186.

Having not advanced to Round Two of the FIFA World Cup 26™ Oceania Qualifiers, American Samoa (189), Cook Islands (191) and Tonga (199) remain unmoved.
